Testimonials
Dora's previous owners left her tied-up outside on a very short chain, so she was aggressive and very poorly behaved when we rescued her as a five-month-old puppy. We were unable to leave her unattended because she chewed on absolutely everything including fingers, toes, and ankles. Although we had been capable of training our other dogs, we realized at once that we would need professional help with Dora. Our first trainer wanted her to enroll in a $1,500 course. On our second try, we did not feel the trainer had a connection with Dora and her recommendations did not change her behavior. When Brittany became available, we were delighted because we had heard so many good things about her. On Brittany's first visit, Dora was characteristically aggressive and bit her bite sleeve a few times. Brittany showed us some techniques to change Dora's behavior; even more importantly, though, she gave us homework assignments for us to work on between visits. Ultimately, she taught us how to train Dora instead of doing it herself for exorbitant fees. Brittany did not just save us money, but she enabled us to connect with Dora at a much more meaningful level than if she had been trained by someone else. After just a few more visits, we had our life back: Dora was no longer controlling us and Brittany had given us the tools and techniques to control her. After seeing how well she was doing, we enrolled Dora in a six-week Canine Good Citizen class. Our friends laughed at the thought of Dora passing the test; but with Brittany's help, we passed on the first attempt. Dora is a different dog now. We are so thankful for Brittany; she's made such a difference in our lives!
